MOLLY CARR BRIDGERS

Molly Carr Bridgers died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, in Goldsboro, N.C.
She was born in Goldsboro, the daughter of Walter Thomas and Julie Talton Bridgers.
She is survived by her parents; a son, David Thomas Odom; a special friend, David Godwin; and Jeffrey Odom, the father of her son.
Molly is also survived by cousins, Sherry Stafford (De Neal), Cathy Byrd (Gene), Lee Bridgers (Miki), Dale Bridgers, John Bridgers (Elizabeth), Catherine Stallings, Frank Moore (Lisa), Sarah Moorman (Frank), Anne Mitchell (John), John Norwood, Ann Prosperi (Michael) and Raynor Garey.
Also survived are aunts, Nancy Norwood (Charles), Barbara Garey (George) and Lillian Bridgers, and uncle, Dover Moore.
Molly was predeceased by a sister, Mary Scott Bridgers; grandparents, Paul and Eula Talton and John and Catherine Bridgers; aunts, Linda Talton and Catherine Moore; and uncles, John Bridgers Jr. and Brutus "Chubby" Bridgers.
Molly received the Gold Award, the highest achievement within the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., graduated from Goldsboro High School and attended Barton College.
She was a receptionist at Waynesborough Ophthalmology, where she was much loved by her co-workers and the patients she helped.
Molly loved all animals, and was known to have rescued many dogs and cats and on one occasion, a very young doe.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 25, at 10 o'clock at Willow Dale Cemetery.
