EDSOL LANIER WILSON

Edsol Lanier Wilson, 92, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at Longview Regional Hospital in Longview, Texas, where he had been residing in recent months to be near his son.

Edsol was born in Rochelle, Ga., May 22, 1925, to the late Dora Lee Wilson.

He was married to the late Eva Wiggins Wilson, who preceded him in death Jan. 28, 2016.

Edsol lived his dream proudly serving in the United States Air Force. He protected his country and her allies on multiple deployments during World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and other worldwide locations.

Edsol's valor and skill were recognized with numerous decorations. He retired after 30 years of active service with the rank of master sergeant.

Edsol attended St. Mary Roman Catholic Church.

A graveside service will be held Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Willow Dale Cemetery with full military honors.

The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Edsol is survived by his son, Donald Glenn Liesman and wife, Nancy, of Gladewater, Texas.
