Jimmy Forsythe, 49, Acworth, Ga., passed away April 4, 2017, unexpectedly in a drowning accident saving his daughter and her friend. He was in Destin, Fla., vacationing with his family.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Georgia Crematory Center in Acworth, Ga., at 11 a.m.
A memorial service will also be held in Goldsboro at Seymour Funeral Home Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.
The family will receive friends following the services.
Jimmy attended Eastern Wayne High School and East Carolina University.
He was living in Acworth, Ga., at the time of the accident.
Jimmy was the son of Pat Lawrence and husband, Joe, and Bob Forsythe and his wife, Sandra.
He is also survived by his children, Regan, Madison and Harrison; his sisters, Pam Forsythe Stokes and her fiancé, Michael Morawski, and Debbie Forsythe and her family of Georgia; uncle, Ronnie Bell, his wife, Barbara, and cousin, Emily; and his aunt, Ann Forehand.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Forsythe Friends Fund the Future through GoFundMe.
