Willie McCarter, 86, died Sunday in Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. James AME Zion Church. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
He was born May 13, 1930, in Wayne County to Walter and Blanche Whitford McCarter.
He is survived by five children.
Visitation will be at the church an hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are by Haskins Funeral Home.
