JOHN F. GROGAN
John F. Grogan was born Nov. 26, 1964, in Trenton, N.J., and died at home in Mesquite, Nev.
John graduated from Goldsboro High School.
He served his country in the United States Navy and California Air Guard.
He was an aviation structures mechanic 2nd class.
He continued his career working at U.S. Air, TWA and other airlines. Later his career would take him to Kyrgystan, Qatar and Bagram, Afghanistan.
John was an avid Carolina Panthers fan.
He enjoyed hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Rocky Mountains.
He also enjoyed the beauty of Virginia and the North Carolina coast. John traveled extensively, exploring different cultures and historical sites.
John is survived by his mother, Joan Grogan of Goldsboro; three sisters, Susan Grogan of Raleigh, N.C., Patricia Dehaan of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Jennifer Harrell and Jimmy (brother-in-law) of Goldsboro, N.C.; three nieces, Jennifer, Susan and Katie; and two nephews, Jason and Steven.
Internment will be held at a later date.
