James Grover Akers, 95, of Kinston, died Jan. 10, at Rosemary Rest Home in Rose Hill.
He was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia on Sept. 9, 1921 and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary George Akers.
He is survived by three sons.
Arrangements are with Community Funeral Home of Warsaw.
