Challie Glidewell Graham, 70, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Challie was born in Wayne County on Dec. 10, 1946, to the late Bill and Dalphies Littleton Glidewell.
She was married to the late Ed Graham who preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2005.
Challie was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever-present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life. She was deeply devoted to her family and was happiest when she was spending time with them. Challie was a lifelong member of Falling Creek Baptist Church.
A service celebrating Challie's life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ron Varner officiating.
The family will greet friends immediately following her service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home. Interment will be on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Challie is survived by her son, Terry Graham and wife, Teresa; daughter, Angie G. Grantham and husband, Robert Jr. (Bud); grandchildren, Matthew Graham and wife, Desiree, Kaysey Grantham Jackson and husband, Sebastian, Bo Grantham, and Branda Radford; and great-grandchildren, Lucas Graham and Cason Jackson.
She is also survived by her brother, B.R. Glidewell; sister, Deborah Summerlin; and several nieces and nephews.
