LAYLA GRACE MEWBORN

Layla Grace Mewborn, of Kenansville, received her healing miracle and gained her angel wings Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, on her 4th birthday after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was born on Nov. 26, 2012, to Wesley and Robin Mewborn. She had a little sister, Macy, and loved her entire family very much. Her favorite things to do were play blocks and cook. She enjoyed going to the farm, playing with friends and going to dance and church.
She is survived by her parents, Wesley and Robin Mewborn; sister, Macy Faith Mewborn; grandparents, Billy and Regina Kilpatrick, Melisa and Richard Brown and Jack Mewborn; aunts and uncles, Kayla Kilpatrick, David and Taylor Kilpatrick, Seth Mewborn and Kyle Mewborn, Shannon and Billie Jo Brown; great-grandparents, Sue Arnette, Eva Kilpatrick Ketelsleger, Edna Smith and John Hardy and Peggy Mewborn; and special caregiver, April Taylor. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Robert Smith, James Arnette, David John Kilpatrick and LeMar Ketelsleger.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Kenansville Baptist Church. Burial will follow at The Hayfield.
