Norma Lois Parks, 61, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

A wake will be held Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory chapel in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at noon at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro.

Mrs. Parks was born in Wayne County Dec. 5, 1954, to the late Benjamin and Marie Armwood Pitt.

She was a member of Little Rock Disciples of Christ in Pikeville.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of more than 30 years, Jimmy Parks; two daughters, April Duval and husband, Anthony, of Fuquay-Varina and Faith Godfrey and husband, Clarence, of Raleigh; two brothers, Benjamin Pitt and wife, Priscilla, of Pikeville and Nevaro Pitt and wife, Tory, of Boston; three sisters, Linda Reid of Pikeville, Tonya Forte´ and husband, John, of Henderson, Ky., and Tammy Croom of Pikeville; one grandchild, Aesha Maire Duval “G-Girl” and “Ayala;” and a goddaughter, Brenita Stevenson of Clayton and her children, Brenden Stevenson, Ayden Stevenson and Albree Stevenson.

Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Pit,; sister, Sharon Diane Stallings; and brother-in-law, Jack Reid.

Professional services have been entrusted to Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
