Milton Theodore Futrelle Sr., 88, Goldsboro, died peacefully Wednesday while in the care of Crystal Coast Hospice House of Newport.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Willow Dale Cemetery, 310 E. Elm St., Goldsboro.
There will be a time of visiting and sharing with the family at the service.
Surviving are a son M.T. "Ted" Futrelle Jr. (Carole) of Brevard; a daughter, Sandra Lynn Futrelle of Swansboro; grandchildren, Faison (Kayla) Williams Jr., United States Air Force, Travis Daniels of Federal Way, Wash., Tyler Daniels of Raleigh, Kelly Futrelle of Bloomington, Ind., and Dan (Susan) Futrelle of Brevard; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mr. Futrelle was preceded in death his wife of 57 years, Mary Lou Kelly Futrelle; daughter, Cindy Lou Futrelle; parents, Minnie Estelle Grant Futrelle and Emmett Crawford Futrelle; and siblings, Ruth Estelle Futrelle Hartley, Emmitt Earl Futrelle, William Charles "Bill" Futrelle Sr. and George Linwood Futrelle.
Mr. Futrelle was an active member of First Baptist Church.
He was a graduated of the 1946 class of Goldsboro High School.
He served in United States Army during World War II.
Until his retirement, he was owner/operated Futrelle's Texaco on U.S. 70 East.
