DOROTHY HINSON REASON
Feb. 10, 1925-July 3, 2016
Dorothy Hinson Reason, 91, of Snow Hill, died Sunday morning, July 3, 2016, at her home. A native of Wayne County, she was born Feb. 10, 1925, the daughter of Pete and Berchie Daniels Hinson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Preston Reason, on Jan. 20, 2010.
Mrs. Reason had retired from the former Snow Hill Apparel and had found a great fondness attending the activities and events at the Greene County Senior Center. She was a member of Fort Run PFWB Church where she was an active part of the “Golden Agers” group.
A loving and compassionate mother and grandmother, her surviving family includes children, Connie Reason Johnson and husband, Zeb of Snow Hill, Glenda Reason of Kenly, Brenda Reason Hill and husband, Ellis of LaGrange, Donnie Reason and wife, Melva of Wilson, and Jerry Reason and wife, Pam of Goldsboro; a special granddaughter, Jennifer Wood of Ormondsville; six other grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Pastors Larry Turlington and Tony Lee officiating. Committal services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
