Polly McLamb Moore was born Sept. 6, 1938, in Goldsboro, N.C., and died June 9, 2016, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Polly Moore attended Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C., and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena McLamb; father, Esrom McLamb; and one niece, Mollie Higbee of Hopewell, Va.
She is survived by son, Wesley M. Moore; son, David F. Moore Jr.; two grandchildren, Sara Braeden Moore and William F. Moore; her sisters, Susan M. Roberts (Gene) of Bath, N.C., and New York, N.Y., and Patsy McLamb of Goldsboro, N.C.; four nieces, Leslie Roberts, Maggie Roberts, Liz Roberts and Polly Roberts; one nephew, Jeff Combs of Goldsboro, N.C.; one great-niece, Emma Zevin; and one great-nephew, Wiley Guillot.
