ISABELLE H. ROBERTS

Isabelle Hudson Roberts, 90, resident of Mount Olive, passed away Tuesday morning, April 19, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Prior to her retirement, she had been the clerk for the town of Calypso, and before that, she had been employed as a bookkeeper with Belk-Tyler's Department Store in Mount Olive and Smith Brothers at Dudley.
Mrs. Roberts, the last surviving child born to the late Sam and Annie Grady Hudson, was the widow of John Edd Roberts.
She was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John E. Roberts Jr. and Alice Roberts of Dudley and Worth and Mary Roberts of Rockwell, N.C.; four grandchildren, Kevin Roberts and wife, Melissa, Adam Roberts and wife, Dorothy, Nelson Phillip Roberts and wife, Lauren, and Mary Clark R. Hauser and husband, Matt; six great-grandchildren, McKayla Smith, Ethan Roberts, Carson Roberts, Ridley Roberts, Madison Hauser and Thomas Hauser; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the mother of the late Phillip Wade Roberts.
Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at the Calypso Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Ronnie Wise.
Friends may offer condolences to the family at the graveside.
