Claudia Jean Harrell Williams, 63, Goldsboro, passed away Monday at Wake Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Claudia was born in San Diego, Calif., May 7, 1952, to Clara Broglin Harrell of Goldsboro and the late Rupert Harrell. She was married to the late Howard L. Williams.
She was retired from Civil Service after 32 years of service.
Claudia was a member of Sansom Community Church.
She was a loving daughter, mother and granny, who will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Church, with the Rev. Steve Holder and the Rev. Jerome Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
In addition to her mother, Claudia is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Holmes of Linden; brother, Rupert Harrell Jr. and wife, Myra; sisters, Lynn Cantrell and husband, Steve, and Cindy Konig and husband, Kevin; and her grandchildren, Jimmy McArthur, Nicholas Dunlow, Joshua Dunlow, Samantha Dunlow and Peyton Whaley, Alexis Motley and Jylian Smith.
She is also survived by her nephews, Martie and T.J. Harrell; her nieces, Tabitha Riggs and Candace Gearheart; her aunts, Barbara Owens and Diane Cooke; and numerous cousins and loved ones.
In addition to her father, Claudia was preceded in death by her daughter, Caycee Lyn Smith.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Dunn Kidney Center, 605 Tilghman Drive, Dunn, N.C., 28334.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
