W. Dean Best died Friday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Funeral will be private.
He was born Jan. 22, 1938, in Goldsboro, son of Cornelius and Wilda Best. He was married to Anne.
He is survived by a son and a daughter.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at North Ridge Country Club.
