Norman James Moats, 56, died Tuesday at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Funeral will be March 5 at 11 a.m. at University Church of Christ in Greenville.
Born in Fukuoka, Japan, he was the son of Norman E. Moats and the late Kathy Moats of Goldsboro.
Visitation will follow the service at the church.
Arrangements are by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
