Eleanor Lillian Hawkins Maynard, 85, died Thursday at her residence.
Born in Pittstown, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Lucy Edmunds Hawkins, and wife of the late Eugene Vincent Maynard, M.D.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Thomas Maynard, and siblings, Clifford Hawkins Jr. and Gladys Hawkins
A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Andy Stovall officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Maynard is survived by her daughters, Katie Maynard of Portland, Ore., and Ann Jones of Goldsboro; a brother, Ronald Hawkins of Conway, SC..; her in-laws, Marion Hawkins and Brad and Frances Bradfield; and nephews, Bruce Bradfield, Phil Bradfield and Gregory Bradfield.
