MALISA P. SUTTON

Malisa Pridgen Sutton, 45, passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her son, Ja'tae J. Smith.
She was born to J. Ervin and Beulah Baker Pridgen in Wayne County on March 7, 1970. Her maternal grandparents were Elijah "Jim" and Rhetta Smith Baker. Paternal grandparents were J.B. and Perenell Pridgen.
The visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. in the J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations. The funeral service will be at Thompson Chapel Church on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The family is receiving friends at the home of her mother, Beulah Pridgen, 542 Artis Road, Pikeville, where they will also assemble at 12:45 p.m. for the funeral procession.
