David Earl Kornegay, 67, 311 W. Kornegay St., Mount Olive, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Payne Temple AME Zion Church, with apostle Frank M. Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Roosevelt and Johnnie Lou Kornegay.
Six children survive.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7. At other times, the family will be at the home.
