Benjamin Neal Sasser, 50, LaGrange, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015.
Neal was born March 7, 1965, in Wayne County to Bonnie Gufford Rollins and the late Henry Earl Sasser.
Neal worked in route sales for a number of years beginning with Textilease and later working with S&D Coffee.
A jack-of-all-trades, Neal enjoyed woodworking and crafting aluminum. He loved fishing, bowling and playing the guitar. A people person with a loving and generous spirit, Neal loved to laugh, enjoyed teasing people and loved communicating with his Facebook friends.
A service to celebrate and honor Neal's life will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Neal is survived by his wife of 21 years, Loretta Howard Sasser; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie Gufford Rollins and Lloyd Rollins of Goldsboro; brother, Marty Sasser and wife, Pat, and their son, Zachary, of Sims; his mother-in-law, Alberta Sauls Howard of LaGrange; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Betty Howard and their sons, Hunter and Dustin, of Kinston; a special niece, Jaime Howard; his four-legged companions, Foxy, Bonnet, Debo and Karma; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins from both sides of the family.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home of LaGrange.
