James Allen Davis, 55, passed away Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late James Roscoe and Nancy Bartlette Davis.
James was employed with Purdue Pharmaceutical in Wilson, and was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed cooking and grilling.
A service to celebrate James' life will be 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at Seymour Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Dwayne Goff officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Pikeville Cemetery.
Surviving are his sister, Vicky Ezzell and husband, Tony, of Goldsboro; aunts, Peggy Evans and husband, Jimmy, of Pikeville, Bonnie Capps and husband, Donnie, of Goldsboro and Patsy Edwards and husband, Preston, of Goldsboro; uncles, Kenneth Goff of Kinston and Billy Goff of Wallace; nieces, Nancy Carolyn Ezzell and Tabatha Ezzell of Goldsboro; great-nieces, Mya and Nicki Stallings; and special buddy, Jeremiah Ezzell.
The family will receive friends following the service Friday at the funeral home and at other times, at the home of Peggy and Jimmy Evans.
