Mary Newton Boykin Minshew, 84, died Wednesday.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Curtis Jones officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
She was born in Edgecombe County Aug. 6, 1930, to the late Jennis and Lily Gardner Newton. She was married to the late William Ollie Boykin and Jerry Thomas Minshew.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service and at other times, at the home of her daughter.
