Matthew Hansen "Matt" Poland, 16, Goldsboro, went to be with the Lord early Monday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A service celebrating Matt's life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015, at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
The family will greet friends Thursday following the service in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church and other times at the home, 104 Jennifer Place, Goldsboro.
Matt is survived by his parents, Roy Christopher Poland and Anita Luck Poland; sister, Krislen Poland; brother, Blake Poland; and his grandparents, Bill and Linda Luck of Goldsboro and Johnny and Christine Poland of Rocky Mount.
