MARY ANN GRIMES

Mary Ann Drew Grimes, 66, Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann was born in Washington, D.C., Jan. 13, 1949, to the late Andrew Jackson Drew Jr. and Louise Pulliam Drew.
A service celebrating Mary Ann's life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Norman Edward Grimes; daughter, Jeni Palmer and husband, Joe, of Maryland; son, Edward Norman Grimes and wife, Desiree, of Maryland; sisters, Linda Combs of Smithfield and Sharon Lainhart of Florida; brothers, Richard Drew, Charles Drew, David Drew and Steven Drew all of Goldsboro, Gary Drew of Florida and Michael Drew of Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Brianna Grimes, Jacob Palmer and Angel Burkett.
In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Bizzell.
In lieu of flowers, Mary Ann had requested memorials be given in her memory to SNAP-N.C., P.O. Box 278, New Hill, N.C., 27562.
