Apostle Boyland Ray Taylor, 65, 107 Ashworth Drive, passed from to labor to reward Saturday in Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
His legacy of living and preaching holiness will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Headquarters, 1800 S. Slocumb St. His custom-made ebony and gold full-couch casket will be placed in an authentic 1898 Cunningham horse-drawn hearse for the journey to Wayne Memorial Park. His mortal frame will be laid to rest with military honors.
To continue his love, legacy and ministry, he leaves his wife of 42 years, pastor Patsy Bryant Taylor of the home; one son, Terry L. Taylor of Goldsboro; siblings, Larry Taylor and Betty Brinson of Goldsboro and Terry Taylor of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday from 2 to 9 p.m., with the family present to receive friends during an inspirational wake from 7 to 9 p.m., at Haskins Funeral Home, 601 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
