Victor Arnold Jones, 66, Mount Carmel Church Road, Pikeville, departed this walk of life Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at home with his loving family by his side.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, May 14, 2015, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, May 15, 2015, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Howell Cemetery on Mount Carmel Church Road.
Mr. Jones was born April 15, 1949, to the late Robert and Bernice Jones.
He was an outdoorsman, and enjoyed to hunt, fish and trap.
Victor was a devoted and loving family man, and will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife, Peggy Howell Jones; son, Victor "Buzz" Jones Jr. and wife, Cristyl, of Grantham; daughter, Tische Jones of Pikeville; three brothers, Phil Jones and wife, Sharon, of Monroe, Jack Jones and wife, Judy, of Dudley and James Jones and wife, Debbie, of Mount Olive; two sisters, Dantha Alphin and Jean Blackman of Mount Olive; and two grandchildren, whom he adored, Tore Sauls and Cuyler Jones.
He was preceded in death by a son, Shane Jones; a brother, Jerry Jones; and a sister, Brenda Herring.
The family is the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
