JOYCE R. GOODMAN

Joyce Roberson Goodman, 82, Goldsboro, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Joyce was born in Fredericksburg, Va., July 17, 1932, to the late Meneffee Roberson and Elinor Reeves Roberson.
She retired from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Joyce was the kindest and most loving mother and grandmother and a great friend to everyone. She will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 5, 2015, from 11 a.m. to noon at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating her life at noon in the chapel, with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Boxley Goodman; sons, Jeffrey Allan Goodman and wife, Heather, of Goldsboro and Ronald Glen Goodman and wife, Cindi, of Ridgefield, Wash.; sister, Judy Jett of Fredericksburg, Va.; brothers, Lehmer Roberson and wife, Jane, and Keith Roberson and wife, Linda, all of Fredericksburg, Va.; sister-in-law, Marie Roberson of Fredericksburg, Va.; and her grandchildren, Michael Goodman, Matthew Goodman and Davis Goodman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Roberson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
