Christine Honeycutt Batten, 94, Four Oaks, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2015.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at Mill Creek Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Burton and the Rev. Robert Cook officiating.
The burial will be in Mill Creek Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10 at West and Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joy Beth and Al Whitfield, of Goldsboro; grandaughter, Laura and husband, Jamie Shearer, of Greenville; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and M.R. Smith, of Angier; the Batten family, Joe and Doris Batten, Earl and Ercell Lee, Valton Batten and Faye Batten, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Everette Massengill; son, Kenneth Wayne Massengill; and husband, Willie Batten.
The family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to Community Home Care and Hospice of Clayton for their care, love and support during these past weeks.
Flowers will be welcomed and memorials may also be made to Community Home Health and Hospice.
