Letha T. Giddens, 96, Mount Olive, Wayne County, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Newton Grove, with father Bill John officiating. Interment will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery in Newton Grove.
A Rosary service will be held Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with visitation to follow.
Survivors include her daughter, Ivor Joyce Tart of Mount Olive; sons and daughters-in-law, William Giddens and Betty Ann of Angier, Floyd Giddens and Faye of Jacksonville, George Hampton Giddens and Bonnie of Mount Olive and Shirley Giddens of Mount Olive; sisters, Nina Franks of McGee Crossroads and Adell Creech of Turkey; brother, Haywood W. Thompson and wife, Melba, of Mount Olive; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Giddens; son, James Sherrill Giddens; granddaughter, Rose Brewer; grandson, Jeffery Giddens; and great-grandson, Tyler Brewer.
