CLIFTON EARL HUMPHREY

Mr. Clifton Earl Humphrey, 76, Dudley, N.C., departed his earthly life Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by family and friends.
Clifton, affectionately known as "Cliff," was born in Wayne County March 25, 1938, to the late Dan and Leora Bell Humphrey.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Angeline Hardy Nov. 3, 1984.
Cliff graduated from Dillard High School in 1957, and was employed by Music and Sports, North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Co., E.R. Squibb Pharmaceuticals and Merck and Co., from where he retired in 1997.
The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at St. Joseph Free Will Baptist Church at 280 Claridge Nursery Road in Goldsboro, followed by a homegoing celebration at noon, with elder Leslie C. Capers officiating.
Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley, N.C.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Angeline of the home; daughter, Anita A. Daniels of Durham, N.C.; son, Tony E. Humphrey Sr. (Patricia); two stepchildren, Tony L. Hardy (Sharonda) of Waldorf, Md., and Angela D. Kornegay of Goldsboro, N.C.; three sisters, Bertie Mae Howard of Goldsboro, N.C., and Edna Bryant and Flora Stark of Buffalo, N.Y.; a brother, Eugene Humphrey (Edna) of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother-in-law, Norman Hardy of Goldsboro, N.C.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Dana A. Humphrey Sr. and Derrick E. Humphrey both of Goldsboro, N.C., and 11 siblings.
The family will receive friends prior to Friday's services at the home, 101 Deerfield Lane, Dudley, N.C.
