Ada Ruth Batten Hawley, 87, Goldsboro, passed away Monday.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Joyner's Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Buckhorn United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kenly. The Rev. Tim McFatter will officiate.
The family will receive friends Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
Surviving are two daughters, Evelyn Holloman and husband, Charles, of Suffolk, Va., and Annette Kennedy and Jeff Vencil of Fremont; three sons, Glenn Allen Hawley and wife, Bonnie, of Nahunta, Donnie Russell Hawley and wife, Janice, of Rosewood and Thomas Wayne Hawley and wife, Shelia, of Princeton; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Allen Hawley; a daughter, Linda Sue Hawley Lamm; and her parents, Robert and Niece Bass Batten.
