MASTER SGT. JAMES E. WOOTEN, USAF (RETIRED)

James Edward "Peter Rabbit" Wooten, 60, of Warner Robins, Ga., entered into rest on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014.

James was born on June 17, 1954, in Goldsboro.

He retired from the United States Air Force and was employed as an inventory management specialist at Robins Air Force Base.

James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family.

James enjoyed all sports, but especially golf.

His stepfather, Gilbert McNeil Sr.; mother, Jessie Mae McNeil; daughter, Renita Chanel Bedgood; and sister, Jewel McNeil, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Hudson Wooten, Warner Robins; daughter, Jemelle Wooten, Atlanta; goddaughter, Lynda Richardson, Montgomery, Ala.; son-in-law, Jeremie Bedgood, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Taran Wooten and Olivia Bedgood; siblings, Dinah Wyche, Gilbert McNeil Jr. and Jeanne Ann McNeil, of Goldsboro and Carolyn McQueen of Las Vegas; and many nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, N.Y., 10016.
