Robert Stephen Thatcher, 54, 1364 Creech Drive, Spring Lake, died Saturday night, July 26, 2014, at the residence with his family by his side.
He was born in Conway, S.C., March 30, 1960, to Henry Burr Thatcher of Charlotte and the late Frances Carolyn Jones Thatcher.
He worked as a computer programmer for Womack Hospital in Fayetteville.
He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Funeral will be Wednesday, July 30, 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 3888 U.S. 70 West, Princeton, with military honors. Pastor Craig Hansen will officiate.
The family will greet friends immediately following the committal.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Smith Thatcher, and a sister, Debra Waddell of Asheville.
