WILBERT H. LAMM
May 29 1927-June 11 2014
Wilbert Hillore Lamm, 87, lifelong resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Wednesday evening, June 11, while in the care of Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mr. Lamm, a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War, was a retired dry wall installer.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia L. "Cindi" and David Powell of Dudley; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Lamm of Goldsboro; another son-in-law, Tom Reynolds of Lillington; five grandchildren, Scott Powell, Kevin Lamm, Kelly Lamm, Cammi Jones and Yvette Hope; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn L. Barwick of Goldsboro and Ruth L. Outlaw of Dudley; and several nieces and nephews.
While he will be sorely missed among those who have survived him, he now reunites with loved ones who went on before, including infant daughter, Donna Gwen Lamm; daughter, Catherine L. Reynolds; son, Robert Lamm; parents, William Frank and Sula Bennett Lamm; sister, Lorene L. Garvey; and brother, Willie Clifton Lamm.
The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, with a graveside service following at 3:30 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Friends and family will also be welcomed to the Powell residence at 3971 U.S. 117 Alternate South, Dudley, N.C.
