James "John" Lee Mitchell, 79, 104 Fox Court, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
He was born in Wayne County June 19, 1934, to the late Jessie and Nellie Langston Mitchell.
He is survived by a daughter.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
