A service of remembrance for Phil Maloy Lane, Mount Olive, will be held at Spring Creek Baptist Church Thursday, May 8, at 6 p.m., with pastor Jason Watford officiating, followed by a time of visitation and the sharing of memories.
A private interment was held in Pineview Cemetery Wednesday, May 7.
Mr. Lane, 54, was a resident of Thurman Herring Road, Mount Olive in Garner's Chapel community.
He grew up in and around Mount Olive, and had been an electrician.
He is survived by a son, Brad Barwick and wife, Amanda, and their son, Carson Maloy Barwick, all of Mount Olive; a lifelong friend and companion, Sandra Kay Barwick of Mount Olive; four brothers and their wives, Royce and Dorothy Lane and Nelson Lane all of Warsaw and Carl and Marsha Lane and Stevie and Connie Lane all of Mount Olive; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, Daniel Jackson Lane and Maggie Hughes Lane, and a brother, Alan Lane, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts to Tyndall Funeral Home to assist with expenses would be appreciated.
