Mr. William Henry Hargrove, 77, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Jim," 1000 S. Claiborne St., Goldsboro, N.C., departed his earthly life Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at The Life Care Hospital of North Carolina, Rocky Mount, N.C.
William was born in Wayne County May 31, 1936, to the late Mr. Calvin Hargrove and Mrs. Estella Smith Hargrove.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mrs. Genevieve Howell Hargrove, who passed Dec. 8, 2002, along with his 12 other siblings.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at 11 a.m. from St. Mark Church of Christ, 700 W. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C. Bishop Alton Smith will officiate.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, 610 U.S. 117 North, Goldsboro, N.C.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, from 2 to 6 p.m., at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C.
Also, the family will be present at McIntyre Funeral Home Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, from 5 to 6 p.m. to receive other family members and friends.
Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, the family and friends will assemble one hour prior at 9:50 a.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., in preparation for the funeral procession.
Flowers may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., beginning Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
