TED KEENE DALE

WALLACE -- Ted Keene Dale, 61, Wallace, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Ted was born Dec. 13, 1951, in Wayne County, N.C., son of the late Clay Brown Dale and Helen Blackman Dale.
His daughter, Lori Moore, and a sister, Joyce Dale, preceded him in death.
Mr. Dale was raised in Seven Springs, N.C.
He graduated from Southern Wayne High School, where he was an all-conference fullback on the football team.
Ted served as a North Carolina wildlife officer, but spent most of his career as a real estate broker and insurance agent.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, who loved the University of North Carolina sports.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Dale; son, Matthew Farr of Wilmington; two grandsons, Matthew Keene Farr and Michael Bradley Farr; two brothers, Jerry Dale (Judy) of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Tim Dale (Carol) of Wilson, N.C.; nephews, Michael Dale (Rachael) of Clemmons, N.C., Jay Dale (Cynthia) of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Alex Dale (Kristi) of Hampstead, N.C.; niece, Margaret Woosnam (Kyle) of Bryan, Texas; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is also survived by Dottie McKay, who was like a second mother to Ted.
At Ted's request, no services will be held.
