MOUNT OLIVE -- Ms. Ina Mae Garner, 51, 207 S. Church St., Mount Olive, N.C., departed her earthly life Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, N.C.
Ina was born in Duplin County, N.C., Sept. 6, 1961, to the late Mr. Willie Stevens and Mrs. Dorothy Kenan Stevens.
She received her education in the public schools of Duplin County, and later graduated from Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, N.C.
Ms. Garner was employed with the Mt. Olive Pickle Co. in Mount Olive, N.C.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Northeast Original Free Baptist Church, 310 E. James Street, Mount Olive, N.C.
Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery South, 2925 U.S. 117 South, Dudley, N.C.
A public viewing will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C., from 2 to 6 p.m., with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m. to receive other family members and friends.
Sister Garner leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to a son, Shawn Stevens; a daughter, LaToya Garner; five sisters, Linda McDuffie, with whom she lived with in Mount Olive, N.C., Jeanette (Raymond) Philips of Mount Olive, N.C., Gloria (Curtis) Wooten of LaGrange, N.C., Mary (David) Denning of Mount Olive, N.C., and Barbara (Tommy) Pruitt of Kenly, N.C.; a special friend; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
