ELMA P. BARWICK

Elma Potter Barwick, 86, passed away Wednesday evening at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Burke and Bertha Adams Potter, and the wife of the late Walter J. Barwick.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom McMahon officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Marston and Dean Barwick, 2798 Zion Church Road, Seven Springs.
She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, the Rev. Rodney and Carole Barwick of Buffalo Junction, Va., Willard and Laverne Barwick of LaGrange and Marston and Dean Barwick of Seven Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Don Cameron of Sanford and Sharon and Clay Rollins of Seven Springs; two brothers, Kenneth Potter of Goldsboro and Donald Potter of Texas; a sister, Carolyn Granger of Alexandria, Va.; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and very special friend, Eva Barwick.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Ricky Barwick and Neil Johnson.
In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
