HILDA B. JACKSON

Hilda Barwick Jackson, 87, died Tuesday at Magnolia Gardens Nursing Home in Warrenton.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Cathalou Pennington Barwick, and wife of the late Thomas B. Jackson.
Mrs. Jackson was a nursing assistant with the VA hospitals in Perry Point, Md., and Miami, Fla.
She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids and First Baptist Church in Mount Olive.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Family members will greet friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughters, Diane Carter and husband, Gene, of Lilburn, Ga., and Brenda Nelson and husband, Bill, of Summerfield; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
