LAGRANGE -- Sally Sutton Lane, 92, LaGrange, passed away early Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at her granddaughter's home.
Ms. Sally was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Wayne County to the late William Levi Sutton and Ella Ellis Sutton.
She was wife of the late Burton Lane, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor L. Creech.
Sally worked many years in area nursing homes as a nurse assistant.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, freezing and cooking. Sally was a very giving person, and loved sharing with others.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, May 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Ms. Sally is survived by a daughter, Bonnie L. Dail of Surf City; seven grandchildren, Pam, Rocky, Eric, Juanita, Christy, Sheila and Mandy; nine great-grandchildren, Travis, Ashley, Dalton, Renee, Victoria, Patrick, Samantha, Anna and Alex; and nine great-great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kayla, Haleigh, Skylar, Faith, Jacob, Isaac, Noah and Lucas.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home of Pam Creech, 4732 R&S Drive, LaGrange.
