PIKEVILLE -- Vista Dawn McSwain Nelson, 47, passed away Thursday at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Center in Winston-Salem.
She was the daughter of the late Jackie and Grover B. McSwain Jr.
Vista is survived by her children, Chelsey Holloman, Justin Howell and Noah Nelson; her brothers, Darry McSwain and Jeff McSwain; her sister, Tammy Spence; grandchildren, Kyler Howell and Emma Holloman; and sisters-in-law, Vicki McSwain and Missy McSwain. She was also aunt to five nieces, Abby, Emily, Sarah, Barbara Carol and Ashley; four nephews, Daniel, Derek, Adam Michael and Nickolas; and had numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Vista's life will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. At the request of the family, no black clothing should be worn to the service and spring attire is requested!
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Vista's memory to Cures for the Colors, Southeastern Medical Oncology Center, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534, or to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 5 to 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and also following the celebration of life service.
