Gloria F. Cherry, 67, of Goldsboro, made her transition from this life on March 1, 2013.
She is survived by one daughter, Terrilyn "Cookie" White, son-in-law, Marshall White; granddaughters, Joi of New York City and Rhindi of California; five sisters, Edna Bryant, Flora Starks and Lula Carruthers, all of Buffalo, N.Y., Sarah Thompson and Bertie Howard (Nathaniel) of Goldsboro; two brothers, Clifton Humphrey (Angeline) of Goldsboro and Eugene Humphrey (Edna) of Charlotte and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at St. Joseph FWB Church, 280 Claridge Nursery Road, with Pastor Leslie Capers officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park, Old Grantham Road. A public viewing will take place Friday from 2 until 6 p.m.
Funeral services are being handled by Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
