FLORIDA -- A.J. Howell, 90, formerly of Dudley, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, in Florida.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Mr. Howell was born in Wilson County May 20, 1922, to the late John Thomas and Clyde Taylor Howell.
He was retired from the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife, Goldie Howell; three daughters, Janis Sands and husband, Mark, of Florida, Sharon Howell of Maryland and Susan Howell of Maryland; a sister, Geraldine Walston of Rocky Mount; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
