Jessie Thrift Lindley, 84, Goldsboro, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of her daughter, Dawn Crumpler.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Mrs. Lindley was born in Chatham County, and retired from Belk Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edith Thrift; a brother, Everett Thrift; and sisters, Elsie Burke, Thelma Poole and Colleen Petty.
She is survived by her husband, Wilfred Daffron Lindley, of 62 years; daughters, Pamela Bryant and husband, Nick, of Kinston and Dawn Crumpler and husband, Steve, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jason Bryant and wife, Kellan, and Will Bryant all of Kinston, Derek Crumpler of Colorado and Adam Crumpler of Goldsboro; a great-grandson, Conner Bryant of Kinston; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Pam Howard, Pearl Hinson, Shirley Cooksey, Annette Mitchell and Ernestine Hardee.
