DOCK ANDER GOODING

MOUNT OLIVE -- Dock Ander Gooding, Mount Olive, born September 1929, passed away Sunday morning, Jan. 6, at Genesis Healthcare (formerly Mount Olive Health and Rehabilitation).
Dock was born and raised in Greene County North Carolina to Ben and Alice Gooding.
Prior to his declining health several years ago, he was a farmer and tile mason.
Surviving him are his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Benton Gooding; sons, Danny, Billy and Philip Gooding all of Goldsboro and Patrick Gooding and his wife, Michelle, of Mount Olive; a granddaughter, Rebecca Gooding Graham and husband, Justin, of Goldsboro; and a great-grandson, James Talton Graham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his nine brothers and sisters and his daughter, Rose Marie Gooding.
The family will be meeting at the home of Patrick and Michelle Gooding at 267 W. N.C. 403, Mount Olive.
A private funeral service will be held Tuesday at Hope Valley Funeral Service and Cremation in Clinton.
