MOUNT OLIVE -- Jeffery F. Stokes, 85, 136 E. Nelson St., died Saturday at Johnston Medical Center.
Funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Payne Temple AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Lamont Dudley officiating. Burial will be in First Congregational Church Cemetery.
Born in Duplin County, he was the son of the late Preston and Addie Joyner Stokes, and husband of the late Helen Pigford Stokes.
Four children survive.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
