Gary Lee Litaker, 54, of Goodnight Road, Salisbury, passed on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at the W.G. (Bill) Heffner V.A. Medical Center, Salisbury.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at the A.R. Kelsey Memorial Chapel, Noble and Kelsey Funeral Home, Inc. with the visitation at 11:30 p.m. and the funeral at 12:30 p.m. Burial and Military Rites will follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery, Statesville Boulevard, with the Rev. Reginald McConneaughey officiating.
He was born on July 21, 1958, in Rowan County to the late Tonsel Alexander "T.A." and Doris Zenobia Litaker. Educated in the Salisbury-Rowan County School, he graduated from West Rowan High School and attended UNC-Charlotte. He was also a retired sergeant having served in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Litaker is survived by his children, Latoya Litaker of Salisbury, Quinyarda Fowler, Jameca Spruill (Eddie), Erica Jones, India Litaker, Chanelle Leftdwrige, Stephanie Litaker, Shakeja Litaker, Angela Litaker and Kelly Litaker, all of Wayne County, and Keiamber Litaker of Sampson County; 14 grandchildren; bothers, William Litaker of Pulaski, Tenn., and James E. Litaker of Salisbury; sisters, Sarah Brown (Jimmy), Carolyn Alston (Norman) and Linda Borders (Randy), all of Salisbury; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives and friends.
