SEVEN SPRINGS -- Milo Daniel Potter, 88, Seven Springs, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.
Milo was born Nov. 16, 1923, in Wayne County to the late Daniel and Sarah Elizabeth Nunn Potter.
Milo was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Shivar Potter, who passed away Aug. 10, 2012.
Milo was a lifelong farmer with a great love for the land on which he was raised, and had a great love of animals.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange. Interment will follow at Daniel Potter Cemetery.
A beloved husband and father, Milo is survived by five children, Terry Potter and wife, Lori, of Seven Springs, Lisa Potter Temple of Middlesex, Jenell Potter of Greenville, Gwen Ludlum of Seven Springs and Luke Potter and wife, Jami, of Seven Springs; 13 grandchildren, Jed Potter, Janet Herring, Reba Jo Barnes, John Michael Temple Jr., Natalie Elizabeth Ferrell, Jessica Barwick, Elaina D'Agostino, Jordan Riley Thompson, Hali Thompson, Tyler Ludlum, Daniel Ludlum, Lucas Potter and Ethan Potter; 11 great-grandchildren, Audrey Herring, Madisen Herring, Ryan Morrison Ferrell, Damon Barwick, Zach Morgan, Silver Edwards, Josalyn Echols, Michael Boyd, Jaxon D'Agostino, Rylee Marie Thompson and Kennedi Thompson; and a sister, Sarah Nichols.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, and at other times will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Potter, 2748 Zion Church Road, Seven Springs.
